Our Mission

Read Today is on a mission to raise reading proficiency scores among Utah’s children.

Reading is one of the most important foundation skills a child can learn for success throughout life. That fact is well documented. Research also shows those children who learn to read before age 9, with the help of involved parents at home have a much better chance of thriving in school.

Parents can register their child, track the minutes and watch them accumulate. We offer prizes and parties as incentives, even school visits with Chopper 5.

We know we can acheive this goal, but we can only do it with the help of parents, grandparents, relatives and neighbors who help make sure children read for at least 20 minutes every day. So challenge yourself, start something new, go to the library, spend more time with your kids. It will make all the difference

Happy Reading!
